Here are the dates below for the spelling awards for the Autumn term. If children pass these tests they will be awarded their badge during a celebration assembly at the end of term. Please practise these at home, using the look,say,cover, write and check technique. The spellings for each test can be found on the school website under:

Reception Show Around
We will be doing a show around our Reception class on Tuesday 7th October from 4-5pm. This is for children who will be starting reception in September 2026.
We will also be able to show around any parents/carers who are interested in Pre-school (2 year provision) and our Nursery (3-4 years olds) for September 2026, on the same day.

Flu Vaccine
The Flu vaccine was carried out on Thursday 18th September. If you missed completing an online consent form, children who have not had the vaccine will be coming home with a paper form that needs to be returned to school by Friday 26th September if you would like them to have it done.
Intrahealth who do the vaccine will return to school in a few weeks time to administer the flu vaccine to those who have consented.
All forms must be completed and brought to the office by Friday 26th September.

Wellies
If your child has now moved on from Key Stage One, please remember to take their old wellies. We’re having a clear-out to make space for the new pupils, so any wellies left behind will need to be collected as soon as possible or they will be donated to other families. Please collect these from outside the Key Stage One classrooms. Thank you for your support!

Hub Help and Support
The HUB is open to all our families from 1.30pm - 3.30pm every Thursday at school. No need to book an apoointment, just drop in.
Come along to the see the best start in life family hub navigator, I can help with universal support and signposting on a wide range of family needs such as food, clothing/baby items that a family may need but are struggling financially to acquire, parenting courses, SEND, toileting, children’s sleep, what’s on guide in your area, healthy start vitamins for sale, to name but a few. If I am unable to help I will find out who can help.
We all need a little support at times and in Trafford we want to give our families the best start in life.
Some weeks I may have other services attending with me e.g health visitors, SEND navigator these will be advertised through the school.

Children who do not want to attend will do fun activity's in school, but they must attend school if they do not attend the panto. Adult places for the Panto will be released on 28th November.

Info on Father Christmas show: Children will delight in Briggs’ grumpy but loveable Father Christmas as he gets ready for his busiest day of the year: Christmas Eve. Watch as he prepares his Christmas deliveries, feeds his reindeer and finally takes flight into the snowy night. But things don’t run smoothly and he soon encounters soot-covered chimneys to squeeze through and treacherous weather conditions, all while plenty of mischief is had by his cheeky pets, Cat and Dog. With plenty of live music, songs and playful puppetry, this critically acclaimed adaptation of Raymond Briggs’ much loved book is a delightful festive treat for children and families to enjoy.

Nursery and Pre-school places for September 2025 /Janaury2026
Start date letters and show around dates have been sent out to all new starters in Pre-school/Nursery and Reception. Please check your emails.
If you require a Pre-school (2 years olds) or Nursery (3-4year olds) place for September 2025 or know of anyone who does, please complete an application form which are available from the school office or on our website (link below). You will also find lots more information on Pre-school and Nursery on our website.
