PE WEEK

We are excited to announce that our annual PE Week will take place during the week beginning 13th July 2026, providing children with a fantastic opportunity to take part in a wide range of sporting and physical activities.

This year, we have arranged for several specialist providers to work with our pupils, including Sale Sharks, Chance to Shine Cricket, and Timperley Lacrosse. In addition, children will enjoy a variety of exciting experiences throughout the week, including:

Adventure Forest for EYFS pupils

Simply Cycling sessions for Years 1–2

An assault course for Years 3–6

New sports equipment to enhance activities across the week

As costs for equipment, transport and external coaching providers continue to rise, we are asking families for a voluntary contribution of £2 per child towards the cost of delivering PE Week (payable on parent pay). This is the first time we have requested a contribution for this event, and we are grateful for any support you can provide.

We are looking forward to an exciting and active week for all our children.

Thank you for your continued support.

Year 6OR-Forest school all day on Monday 15th June. Children will need own clothes that they can get dirty, wellies, boots or old trainers. Dress for weather.

Summer Family Picnic

We are thrilled to invite you to our Family Picnic on the School Field, taking place on Wednesday 15th July from 4:00–5.30pm. This promises to be a fun-filled and memorable evening for our school community – a perfect way to celebrate the end of the school year together!

Bring along your picnic baskets and blankets and settle in for an afternoon of live music, laughter, and family fun. There will be stalls and games to enjoy, hot dogs, drinks, and ice creams available for purchase, and even the chance to take part in the ever-popular (and slightly mischievous!) Splat the Teacher – if they’re brave enough to volunteer!

Here are the key details:

Date: Wednesday 15th July Time: 4:00–5.30pm

Location: Broomwood Primary School Field

Price: £3 per family, available to purchase via ParentPay (Max 2x adults/carers and up to 3 Broomwood Primary school siblings). Available to purchase till Friday 10th July.

Please remember:

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

This event is exclusively for Broomwood Primary School families – only children who attend our school may take part, (no older siblings)

We really hope you can join us for what’s shaping up to be a truly enjoyable afternoon. Let’s come together as a school community to share food, fun, and friendship. We can’t wait to see you there!

Warm regards,

Mrs Payne and Mr Bridge
