 ' Our Learning, Our Words'.

'This week's pupil voice comes from 3FR' etc.

This week in Year 3, we have been learning about the Romans. We explored Roman shield formations and learned that the shields were curved so they could fit together properly. We recreated the formation in the hall using food trays, which we really enjoyed. We also learned about what the Romans ate and what BC and AD mean.

In maths, we have been learning about measurement. We measured our classroom door in metres, books in centimetres and sharpeners in millimetres. We learned that it is important to measure appropriately, for example using a metre stick for larger objects.

In literacy, we have been learning about Mary Anning and her fossils. We have been using conjunctions, adverbs for cause, time and place, and writing with headings and subheadings.

In science, we have been learning about different forces such as push, pull and twist.

Our favourite part of the week was learning how to play the Samba drums and using different rhythms. We have also really enjoyed learning our street dance routine with Becki.

Hot chocolate and a biscuit for £1 will be sold in the playground on Monday
