English as an additional Language (EAL)

Does your child need more support with their English work? If so, this would be a great opportunity for them. Take a look  below for more information.

Beginner to Intermediate (Middle) ESL Group

In this class, you will build your English skills in speaking, reading, and writing.

We will work on becoming more confident speakers by practicing everyday conversations and fun speaking activities.

To help with reading, we will learn phonics—this means we’ll practise letter sounds and sound patterns to help you read new words more easily.

In writing, we’ll work on on spelling simple words and writing clear, correct sentences. You will learn how to use capital letters, full stops, and the right word order in your sentences.

We’ll also start using important grammar to make your writing more interesting, like nouns (naming words) and adjectives (describing words).

Get ready to learn, practise, and have fun with English!

Intermediate (Middle) to Advanced (Higher) ESL Group

In this Intermediate to Advanced English class, we will work on speaking, listening, reading, and writing to become more confident and clearer when using English.

We will practice speaking and listening through fun activities like discussions, games, role-plays, and group projects. You will learn how to share your ideas clearly and understand others in longer conversations.

In reading and writing, we will learn how to write strong sentences and paragraphs using interesting nouns, adjectives, and adverbs. You’ll also learn how to use longer sentences and put your ideas in a good order.

We will also practice checking and fixing our writing to make it easier to understand and more fun to read.

If you're interested in your child joining in with this type of club at our school, please contact the office for more information.

Please state which level you would be interested in.

Approx charge would be £5 a session.
