We have arranged for Year 4 to have weekly lessons at Sale Leisure centre on a Wednesday – starting Wednesday 21st February. The lessons will be an hour long and we will back in school at approx. 3pm. The lessons will be taught by highly experienced swimming instructors, who will group the children according to their swimming ability.
The children are expected to dress in an appropriate manner. Girls should wear a one piece costume. All colours are acceptable. Boys should wear swimming trunks. Again, all colours are acceptable. Baggy, knee length swimming trunks are not acceptable. Please always ensure all earrings are removed on a swimming day.
A swimming hat will be provided by the leisure centre.
All children must remember to bring a towel and a swimming bag with them. Goggles can also be used during the swimming lessons. Children should not to bring in any shampoo or conditioner for showering. If your child suffers from any medical difficulties, takes medications or has any physical/language difficulties, this data must be made known to the class teacher, so that they can inform the instructors prior to the lesson. If they do not have their medication with them on a swimming day, they will not be able to go swimming and will have to stay in school.
