Education Pupil Registration England Amendment Regulations 2013 came into force on 1st September 2013 stating that Head Teachers CANNOT grant leave of absence during term time unless there are exceptional circumstances. 

 The 2007 Regulations state that from 1st September 2013, parents may have to pay a fine of between £60 to £120.
Absence will not be authorised where attendance is lower than 95% or where the absence would take attendance below 95%.
